He graduated from Westbrook Christian High School and attended Jacksonville State University.

Mr. McMath was born in San Jose, California but raised in Gadsden, Alabama. He is a happy father to his son Thorin McMath. Mr. McMath went into education because he wanted to be a positive role model for young children.  He incorporates technology into his classroom because the future is all about technology. Mr. McMath states, “If we can show the kids how to use technology in our classroom, then they will be ahead of the all the other students that don’t have that opportunity.”  His favorite quote is "If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."
