Becky has been working with students at Piedmont High School for almost 15 years. This wonderful journey has provided her with many amazing opportunities and life lessons along the way. She chose to teach because she believes that children remind us to be fearless, to see everyone as special, to live fully, to forgive, to be happy for no reason, and to love unconditionally.
In addition to teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family. They all are close and get together often.
Her oldest, Caleigh Jane, is a nurse in outpatient surgery at Gadsden Regional. Caleigh and her husband are new parents to the latest beautiful edition to the family, Benjamin Griffin. Darrin is attending Physical Therapy Assistant School full-time and is scheduled to graduate next year.
Hunter, her oldest son, obtained a degree in Graphic Design and is employed out of a firm in Georgia. He is able to work from home and is there to remind his mom on cold, rainy Mondays that he is working in his pajamas, sitting by the fire, and petting the dog. Amber, his wife, works as a nurse at Gadsden Regional She is currently enrolled in the coursework necessary to become a nurse practitioner. Peyton, the baby, is working as a Computer Numerical Control Programmer at Parker Hanifin. He is engaged to be married to Amber Maddox later this year.
Becky says, "Even now, life is always spontaneous, always busy, and never boring."
